Here at Carlton Palmore Elementary we are striving to connect students, parents and teachers. Within our site, you will be able to contact teachers and administration, look for upcoming events and see what’s going on around the campus.

WHAT ABOUT UNIFORMS FOR CARLTON PALMORE?

Bottoms:
Dark blue, black or khaki/tan (Wednesday Dress will be ‘Leadership Day Dress” with red logo t-shirts or red collared shirt and Khaki/tan bottoms.) The red logo t-shirt and khaki/tan pants will be our Leadership Dress Uniform and our Field Trip uniform.
➢ Shorts, pants, skorts, skirts, skirted jumpers
➢ Must be plain, solid-color twill, corduroy or
denim fabric; no rips or cutoffs permitted
➢ Bottoms MUST be finger-tip length
➢ Traditional blue jean color is okay for denim
Tops:
Solid red or navy collared shirt, red or royal blue school logo t-shirt
➢ Must have long or short sleeves
➢ Knit polo-type or woven dress shirts, blouses or turtlenecks
➢ School t-shirts are okay (available through our school office)
➢ Follow the Dress Code for appropriate school dress found in the Polk County
Code of Conduct when in doubt of appropriateness.

The Uniform Dress Code does not allow for clothing with colored trim, stripes, embroidery, decoration, etc. It also does not provide for overalls (overalls with pants or shorts), sweat pants, knit pants/skirts, leggings, cutoffs, etc.
Other dress code rules, dress for success:
➢ A belt is required if the garment has belt loops
➢ Shirts (including t-shirts) must be tucked in
➢ Shorts and skirts must be fingertip length, not shorter
➢ Plain uniform colored socks are to be worn at all times, except on Crazy Sock Day
➢ Shoes must be safe and appropriate; NO Sandals or Crocs – closed toe
➢ Clothes must be appropriate size, with waist garment worn at the student’s waist
➢ Clothing that is too tight or too loose is not appropriate for school

Join us on Thursday, August 9th from 9:00 am to 11:00 am or 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.  This is a great time to meet teachers, find out transportation information, purchase school uniform shirts and much more!  We look forward to seeing you all soon.

 

Polk Education Association giving 40,000 FREE, BRAND NEW BOOKS to Polk Students!

 

July 28th from 9 am – 1 pm in the Tenoroc High School Gym

All students, parents, teachers and support staff welcome!

The books go from ages  Pre K- High School!

Face Painting and Hot Dogs and other good information as well!

3rd Grade FSA ELA Scores Available

The 3rd grade FSA ELA scores have been received. Promotion/retention letters will be available for pick up at Carlton Palmore Elementary between noon and 4 p.m. today, Friday, May 25.

Promotion/retention letters can also be picked up at Carlton Palmore next week, between 8 A.M. and 4 P.M., Tuesday through Friday.  Any letters not picked up by June 4 will be mailed home along with report cards.
